Trying out new Korean skincare products and sharing my thoughts here and on social media are things I've been doing for a long time. However, nothing can beat the feeling when I find new skincare brands and products that have innovative formulas and perform amazingly. I'm going to introduce you to two products that fit this description; MIMU MIMU Heating Calming i.n.g. Cleansing Oil and Cooling Calming i.n.g. Toner.
These two skincare products are currently among the most popular new products in Korea. That is not surprising as they are a part of the 3rd generation of effective and innovative skincare products. MIMU MIMU made sure to constantly improve the formula and so that each customer is satisfied with their experience using these products.

3rd Generation Skincare Products
When MIMU MIMU created their 1st generation of skincare products they focused on quality and price as they wanted to make sure that their product were accessible to the majority. While working on their 2nd generation of skincare products they wanted to keep all the amazing parts of the 1st generation but make some changes to the formula. They made sure to remove all of the harmful ingredients and take advantage of natural extracts. This journey leads us to the present times and 3rd generation of MIMU MIMU skincare products. This time they made sure that they considered the temperature of the skin.
As soon as you apply MIMU MIMU Cleansing Oil you will notice the warming sensation while the Cooling Toner contains ingredients that soothe skin. Did you know that the healthy temperature of human skin is 31 degrees Celsius? We spend a lot of time outside exposed to UV rays and sunlight. That has an impact on our skin condition. Ingredients in Calming Cooling i.n.g. Toner and Heating Calming i.n.g. Cleansing Oil are derived from Albatrellus Confluens Mucshroom which effectively cools the skin.
Heating Calming i.n.g. Cleansing Oil
The first thing I noticed when I applied this toner to my hands was the texture. If you usually use cleansing oils, they probably have a runny oily texture. Well, MIMU MIMU cleansing oil is a little bit thicker which I actually prefer. Before using it make sure to first shake the bottle and rub it between your palms for a few seconds. This cleansing oil consists of two layers and when you shake it these two layers mix together for better performance.
You will start to notice the warming sensation on your palms and then when you apply it on your skin it will be warm but not burning. So don't worry when you feel a slight heat as that's what's supposed to happen. This is the first cleansing oil that works like this and I'm very impressed. The main point of the heat is to help expand pores so that all the dirt sebaceous filaments and blackheads can be easily removed. This cleansing does have a slight scent to it but I don't find it too irritating as it goes away after a few seconds.
The main ingredients are Onsen-sui, Centella Asiatica, and 10x Hyaluronic. Onsen-sui stands for hot spring water. It has calming, anti-inflammatory, and vasodilatory properties. Centella Asiatica doesn't need much introduction as it is one of the best skincare ingredients when it comes to soothing the skin. Last but not least, hyaluronic acid is the hydration powerhouse. I have a combination of sensitive skin and these ingredients didn't irritate it, on the contrary, they made my skin feel soft and healthy.
Cooling Calming i.n.g. Toner
After cleansing the skin and removing all the excess oil and sebum it is now time to give back moisture to the skin. MIMU MIMU Cooling Calming i.n.g. Toner helps calm down redness and tightens the pores after the heat from the cleansing oil expands them. It contains Patent Cooling Ingredients, Centella Asiatica, Panthenol, and Allanoin.
You can use this toner as a part of your morning and nighttime skincare routine. For the best results, I like to apply 3 layers every day. The reasons behind that are that the first layer activates the patented cooling system, the second layer unleashes the soothing power of CICA and the third layer deeply penetrates the skin with 10x Hyaluronic acid. Of course, you can apply just one layer but if you want faster results layering toner is the best way to do so. The texture is lightweight, watery, and absorbs quickly into the skin. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized and soft. As well as the cleansing oil, it does have a slight scent to it. I usually don't prefer scented products as they can irritate me, but this one doesn't so it's not a reason that would put me off from using it.
These two Korean skincare products quickly became staple products in my morning and nighttime skincare routine. I tried and reviewed a lot of skincare products but the thoughts and work put into these products can definitely be seen in their innovative formula.
