When was the last time you made a monthly goal list?
Setting different goals is a great way to stay motivated and work on personal development. Having something to work towards makes each day a little bit more exciting. Especially if you like to challenge yourself. Writing down goals at the start of the year is excellent, but sometimes they can go in vain. The fantastic thing about monthly resolutions is that they feel much more approachable as you work every day to achieve them. Here are 5 goals for October for those who are just starting their monthly goal journey and need more ideas.
5 SIMPLE DAILY GOALS FOR OCTOBER
#1 JOURNAL ONE SENTENCE
#2 SPEND 10 MINUTES OUTSIDE
With the current situation going on in the world, spending time outside has been different. I'm sure that most of us go out if it's essential and doesn't have other options. Spending time outdoors is crucial for both our physical and mental health. Of course, it is also vital to follow all the rules. Mindfully spending at least 10 minutes outside is what we should all do. This doesn't include going out to run errands or going to and back from work. It means consciously getting outside just to go outside. To spend some time in nature, take a few deep breaths in and enjoying nature. If you have more time, even better, go for a run or a walk. You can never spend too much time in nature.
#3 CREATE TOMORROWS TO-DO LIST
An organized and productive day starts the night before. To-lists are a great way to stay on top of everything. They are one of the best cures for stress and social anxiety. Writing your to-do list in the evening is what will help you reason about the day ahead. This will also save you some time in the morning as you'll already know what your plan for the day is. This is one of the goals I want to make a habit, and the best way to do it is to actually do it. The To-do list doesn't need to be anything extravagant. I recommend writing the top 3 work-related and top 3 personal related things you need to get done. This way, you'll set yourself for a successful day. Of course, you can add other tasks throughout the day but finishing those top 3 should be a priority.
#4 DRINK LEMON WATER EVERY MORNING
Taking care of our health is something we all need to make a priority. Drinking lemon water every morning is one of the ways we can do that. I'm sure that you are all familiar with all the benefits lemon water has. This summer, I made it a habit but, along the way, stopped doing it regularly. That is one of the reasons I include this on the list of goals for October. Taking care of our health was never as important as it is today. Including lemon water is an easy way to give our body the vitamins it needs and run smoothly. I personally like drinking lemon water on an empty stomach. If you want to make it even more beneficial, add freshly squeezed lemon juice to a glass of warm water. It will help you get rid of toxins from your body.
#5 1 HOUR OF LEARNING
It is easy to fall out of the learning system once you're out of school and university. I'm sure that we all have something we want to learn. It may be some skill or language. Now is the right time to start. Taking one hour out of your day and dedicating it to learning is what will definitely benefit you in the long run. Even if it's trying out a new recipe, making a DIY project, painting, reading, or listening to a podcast. Those are all the ways you can learn new things. There are also a lot of online classes you can take and YouTube videos you can watch. You have so many options, now you just need to choose which one is the best for you—the great thing about this kind of learning that you can always start learning something new every day.
