Mini Habits That Will Make You Fall In Love With Your Daily Life

Thursday, April 2, 2020

The biggest changes in your life don't need to be extra. Sometimes to see that positive change in your everyday life all you need is implementing mini habits. Those are the things that we usually overlook. We might do them once in a while without realizing how much benefit they would bring to us only if we started doing them more regularly.

The ones that I am going to write about in this post are super simple and easy to do. Some of them are probably already part of your every day but some are maybe not. There are, of course, a thousand more that you could start doing but I decided to share only these 5.

DON'T HIT THAT SNOOZE BUTTON

As tempting as it can be to spend an extra hour in bed, that will probably make you even more tired. One of the best ways to stop hitting that snooze button is to go to bed at the proximately same time and also wake up at the same time each day. Try to do it for a week and you will soon realize that your body and made got used to it and will start doing that automatically.

If you are not a morning person then I understand that this could be quite hard for you. I definitely think that giving this method a try might help you to become at least a little bit more fond of the mornings. The amazing thing about waking up early is the fact that you get a few extra hours of your day.

PUT THINGS TO THEIR PLACE

Clear space really does equals a clear mind most of the time. Taking a few minutes out of your day to just put things back to where they belong will you feel less anxious and suffocated. This will also make your life easier as placing things back to where they belong will reduce the time you need to spend on cleaning.

Living in the same space and seeing the same things all the time can get boring. It is even worse when they are not where they are supposed to be. Making your bed as soon as you wake up and picking up clothes and dishes in the morning will make at least some of the chores easier.

LET THE FRESH AIR IN

We all know how good it feels to breathe in that fresh air when we are walking outside. Spending most of our days in the house will lead to a stuffy air that no one wants to breathe in. We tend to forget that we can just open our windows and let that fresh and crispy air in.

I find that the best time to do it is in the morning as that is when the air can feel the heaviest. Letting the fresh air in will also help you to concentrate better and you will feel better. Throughout the day open the window in the room you are currently in for a few minutes.

MOVE YOUR BODY

Shake it shake it. To all my lazy girls out there that just don't like to workout, I feel you. But let me tell you that you can move your body without feeling the need to throw up. Just a simple stretch in the morning and throughout the day is so beneficial for your body. If you are currently in self-isolation and spending a lot of your time indoors then your body is probably missing some movement.

There are so many youtube videos and workouts that are easy and quick to do. My personal favorite way to move is Yoga. I find it challenging but relaxing at the same time. There are also a lot of dance workout videos that don't even feel like working out as they are so fun to do.

READ FOR FEW MOMENTS

Making reading a habit is so beneficial. If you enjoy reading but find yourself not reading enough then it is probably because you are not prioritizing it in your everyday life. People tend to think that you need to read half of a book or a whole book in one sitting. That just isn't what reading is about. To make it a habit that doesn't feel like something you need to do just make a small goal.

For example, you can read 10 pages or a chapter a day. Of course, if you want to keep on reading you don't need to stop at that. Having a small goal and sticking to it will help you to do it consistently and after some time you'll be reading more than ever. Although I don't think that a lot of people consider reading blogs as an actual reading, it is. So on some das yu might prefer reading a blog post over a book and that is completely fine.
