When I first heard about this book I was very
intrigued because I haven’t read a lot of books like this one. The plot and
characters were so interesting to me. I immediately put it on my TBR list. I
only got it few weeks ago and totally by surprise. My sister bought it for me
and I was thrilled. It’s in the hard paperback and the cover is so beautiful.
I first want to say that this is my first book by
Rainbow Rowell and I completely fell in love with her writing style. It’s so
natural and easy going. I got lost in the words, sentences and chapters. This
book was written in a unique style. I enjoyed that the chapters weren’t very
long and that they were written from the perspective of Eleanor and Park. The
physical characteristic of the characters are deep and you can really get to
know Eleanor’s and Park’s state of mind.
To summaries this young adult book, it’s about Eleanor
and Park. As you might already realized by the title. Eleanor has a read hear
and has a different fashion style. She comes from a unstable family. Her mom is
very pretty and she has 5 brothers and sister. They all live together with her
stepfather who isn’t a nice guy. Although she’s insecure she don’t won’t to be
like the others.
Park is an Asian boy who lives in a perfect family.
His mom is from Korea and he is the only Asian boy in their Street. He feels
insecure and finds safety in comics and music.
They meet one day in the school bus and their
adventure began. I don’t want to revile too much or give any spoilers. If you
didn’t already you definitely need to read this book. I can’t wait to read more
books by Rainbow Rowell because I know I’m going to enjoy them very much.
